Six years after their debut album ‘Astroid Antics’, Meta Forever are back with the 7-inch trilogy ‘Emerald MIndgames’. Part one consists of 4 completely different tracks, leading us off into entirely different directions. ‘Mosquitoes and Perfume’ is a melodic tune hidden under labyrinthian guitar patterns. ‘Andi Grace Adieu’ is a quiet and mystic song with nods to old french poetry. Then, as we flip the page, we get on our feet and start dancing to ‘So long, William’ (well, at least after the weird intro), before  ‘They know our Emperor’ leads us forever down the stairs of darkness and horror.
‘Emerald Mindgames pt.1′ is released on February the 10th on 7-inch and download.

It’s a tradition that we are rounds we of the year with a jovial parties and concerts, this time on homely Mir! Pilemil play “normal music”, Center of the Universe playing Christmas songs, Danny Midnight Vs.Sir Sveiv-a-lot play back to back on four gramophones and Dj Tumidajewicz plays Polish and Balkan music right in your face. We also have  with plates, cups etc for a cheap penny!

Pilemil gjester Søndagsbarn (Akers Mek på KHIO). Det blir diggers i øra og diggers i magen – Leo lager veggismiddag, vi serverer kake, kaffe, øl, portvin og masse magisk epledrikk og smågodtpåsar for Søndagsbarn i alle aldre. Gratisk kosenrt og latterlige lave priser på alt! (Jentene er søte – men de er ikke billige slik som alt annet vi har!)

Konserten starter like etter sju og like før åtte.

Every tenth release from Metronomicon audio is a collection album, this is because release number 10 was a collection by chance.

50 is a very round number and we are very proud of this release: brand new songs from most of Metronomicons artists and some very fine guests from Norway, the Netherlands, UK and Japan!

The release is a CD + Poster made by Espen Friberg & Ben Hill, and the cover is designed by Friberg and Yokoland, here’s a few words about it:

The typography was photographed on location at Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA on October 30 and 31, 2010. Each character was as tall as the tallest building in America, the Empire State Building, which equals 381 meters. Norway’s tallest building is Oslo Plaza, and measures about 1/3 of the size of the Empire State Building. The length of “Metronomicon Audio” was approximately 8040 meters, which equals about 21 Empire State Buildings on top of each other. The characters were visible 5-7 minutes before they disappeared.

We’re celebrating with three concerts and two Dj’s, and there will be a chance to get the release very cheap together with the ticket!
