Latest album, “Sceneity: An account of the influence of scenes on occidental societies”, is a blend of complex arrangements and soft vocals, developing the smooth sounds of the lauded debut “Moderning” from 2005. The much-awaited second album has an epic dimension in the vast array of instruments, yet holding on to the melodic core. Hanny has performed frequently at central venues in Norway’s alternative music scene since the conception in 2005, habitually inviting guest musicians on stage to replicate the elaborate sounds from the recordings. “With our music we try to leave visual traces, perhaps mystical images from our inner scenery” says lead singer Marie Kvamme.
